Trade show season has begun!

Recently 220 Marketing went to San Antonio, Texas for one of the best insurance trade shows around. We got lots of exposure for the company and met lots of GREAT contacts. Going to a networking and business convention turned into leaving with great relationships and future clients.  And…this is only ONE of many! If you thought that these conventions were no fun, you thought wrong! We had a blast working our booth,the activities we attended, and the great people we met.

Before we left for the event, we reached out to hundreds of agents in Texas. Whether they were our clients already or potential clients, we wanted to make sure they knew to stop by our booth to introduce themselves. Not only were we passing out beer cozies, but also information that can help agents at least double their income.

The actual trade show was set up so that attendees had to walk in a big circle to get to each booth (don’t forget the open bar the whole entire time). The setup actually worked out great because we didn’t get bombarded by hundreds of agents at once. We got to personally meet and talk with each and every one of them for a good amount of time. Agents that came across our booth left with some great marketing tips and a smile.

The carriers who attended this event were also very helpful. They scratched our back and we scratched theirs. Isn’t that what trade shows are all about? Everyone there tried to help out each exhibitor by sending agents to different booths in which could benefit them. Needless to say, WE LOVE TEXAS and the great connections we made!

 

Lastly, who knew the city of San Antonio had manholes? Tip: Don’t wear a dress on the street. I definitely learned the hard way.

Lesson learned:

Book this trade show again next year and book the same hotel (The Menger). Thank you to Eddie Emmett for putting it all together!
